You need: Ground coffee filter basket, spoon and freshly ground coffee.
- Add ground coffee to the filter basket.
- Install and securely tighten the portafilter.
- Add the desired amount of drinking water.
- Start heating or extraction for the water temperature used.
Coffee Capsule
Load a Nespresso Original compatible capsule when convenience comes first.
You need: Capsule adapter and a compatible capsule.
- Insert a compatible capsule into the capsule adapter.
- Install and securely tighten the adapter.
- Add the desired amount of drinking water.
- Start heating or extraction for the water temperature used.

Yes. Nano can heat room-temperature drinking water and then begin extraction in one compact workflow.
Heating takes approximately 200 seconds under the stated test conditions. Actual time varies with water volume, starting temperature, ambient conditions and battery condition.
OutIn testing indicates up to five extractions using approximately 50ml room-temperature water, or more than 200 extractions when hot water is used. These are different operating conditions.
The maximum water level is 80ml.
Yes. Hot water can be added for direct extraction, reducing battery demand compared with heating room-temperature water.
Allow the unit to cool, remove used grounds or the capsule, rinse removable coffee-contact parts, and follow the product manual. Do not immerse the powered main unit.
